Today I went to view a workshop for my brother's business today and came across a lovely '61 Jaguar E-Type. It was in a very messy state, the upholstery was completely gone and the exterior was in a sorry state, the owner has wanted to restore it, but due to limited amount of funds, he was unable to.
We all know the Jaguar E-Type goes for a ridiculous amount of money depending on its year of course, little did anyone know back then that it would become a future classic.
So here we are in 2014, buying modern cars and not giving a toss what it'll be worth in the long-run because depreciation is more common.
However, someone somewhere might of just blindly purchased a car not knowing that it'll become an outright antique for the future.
If you ask me what car I think would be a future classic, well, it could possibly be the C63 AMG Edition 507 (most possibly the wagon). Reason? This car was made to honour the 6.2l engine's demise. It marks an end of an era for AMG.
Recently I trembled upon a E60 AMG for sale for a whopping £100,000 ($160,000). Someone back then must of purchased it for much less money.
What do you reckon will be a future classic?

Reminds me of the mythical Honda tuner named "Larry" who purchased a new Integra Type R and immediately put it in climate controlled storage. While I admit the ITR was pretty nice for it's time and truly contained NSX dna, I dunno if its *that* good.

Might be the only unmolested, unstolen, ITR in the WORLD!
